Expect to see local talent in this premiere showcase. The Bud Light Racing Team, in the Cat Extreme Class, has deep roots at The Lake of the Ozarks. Dave Scott, the driver, has an impressive list of world and national titles, including several Top Gun titles that he earned at the Lake Shootout. Also in the Cat Extreme Class, The Bad Moon Rising is named for the local marina that throttleman Bob Morgan owns.
Powerboat racing isn’t just for the guys either. At least two teams, Learning The Ropes and Under Destruction, have the ladies behind the wheel in husband / wife teams. Learning The Ropes, in the Cat Lite Class is “manned” by Wilma and Brian Ross of Oakville, Ontario. Leading the lady hometown heroes is Jenni Dunbar of Under Destruction. Based in Highlandville, MO, Jenni and her husband/throttleman, Mark, are in the their rookie year but giving the Vee Lite Class competitors a run for their money. Headed into the National Championships in third place overall, this team could walk away with it all!
Atlantis Island Condos invites you to enjoy this, and other numerous activities and events at The Lake Of The Ozarks from your very own slice of island living in the Midwest!
